DBA/Sys Admin

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services, encompassing Compute, Network, Storage, Database, and Security.

• Manage Oracle Fusion Applications, including role creation, role assignment, data access assignment, BI report migration, bank integration, and ESS job scheduling.

• Configure and resolve issues related to OCI connectivity with on-premises networks.

• Administer OCI compute instances, which includes VM creation, private VM access, SSH key management, OS patching, vulnerability remediation, backup, and cloning.

• Oversee OCI storage management, covering block volume expansion, boot/block volumes, and backup and restoration processes.

• Support OCI Database and Autonomous Database operations, including backup, restoration, tablespace management, database security, password policies, and private database access.

• Assist with Oracle APEX and ORDS configuration, troubleshooting, and application access/security management.

• Resolve issues related to user access, role provisioning, security, database connectivity, VM access, and network routing.

• Document configurations, operational procedures, and resolutions to issues.

• Provide support for production and project activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience as a DBA/Sys Admin.

• Extensive hands-on experience with administering Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, including Compute, Network, Storage, Database, and Security services.

• Proficient in managing Oracle Fusion Applications.

• Understanding of OCI Networking, including VCN, subnets, security lists, NSGs, route tables, NAT Gateway, Internet Gateway, DRG, and VCN peering.

• Capability to configure and troubleshoot OCI connectivity with on-premises networks utilizing VPN, FastConnect, DRG, and private subnet access.

• Experience in managing OCI compute instances, including VM creation, private VM access, SSH key management, OS patching, vulnerability remediation, backup, and cloning.

• Proficient in OCI Storage management, including block volume expansion, boot/block volume management, and backup and restore processes.

• Strong knowledge of OCI Database and Autonomous Database.

• Experience in supporting Oracle APEX and ORDS.

• Ability to troubleshoot issues related to user access, role provisioning, security, database connectivity, VM access, and network routing.

• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
