This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +15 more states.
• Deliver advanced database services, encompassing database design, creation, and upkeep.
• Oversee and sustain database performance, integrity, reliability, security, disk space, and capacity.
• Diagnose and resolve SQL performance issues.
• Ensure proper backup of databases.
• Craft intricate database schemas and table structures for new developments.
• Install and configure database packages.
• Collaborate with development teams and end users to address data conflicts and complex performance challenges.
• Determine requirements for new database designs in conjunction with technical and development teams.
• Gather, compute, analyze, and prepare database-related information and reports.
• Generate system security and event log reports, performance monitoring reports, disk utilization reports, backup/recovery logs, and database dump scripts.
• Travel within and around office facilities across the system.
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science or a related field, along with relevant experience or equivalent formal education.
• Coursework or equivalent formal education covering programming languages, society and computing, computer organization, data structures and algorithm analysis, numerical analysis, file processing, database processing, and operating systems.
• Proficiency in all aspects of administration for applicable database systems.
• Experience in supporting Oracle databases within a corporate setting.
• Familiarity and/or training in designing and managing multiple Oracle RDBMS instances.
• Knowledge and/or training in using Enterprise Manager and other management tools for maintaining and tuning Oracle databases.
• Experience and/or training in modifying stored procedures in a database server environment.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Administrative skills in Linux.
• Ability to read and interpret company correspondence, reports, cost analyses, contracts, manuals, computer printouts, and legal documents.
• Experience in researching, drafting, and preparing reports, studies, recommendations, and correspondence relevant to the role.
• Proven ability to interact and communicate effectively.
• Experience in developing and presenting information to groups and individuals.
• Understanding of relational database design, including table structures, indexes, and primary/foreign key fields.
• Strong problem resolution and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Capability to apply mathematical, algebraic, statistical, and volumetric methods.
• Ability to lead, train, coach, delegate, and review work activities.
• Proficient in exchanging written and verbal information and instructions.
• No licenses or certifications are required.
• Must qualify for remote work in Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin, or Wyoming.
• May be assigned a company vehicle that requires the appropriate driver's license.
