Database Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee and maintain Azure SQL and Oracle database environments.

• Track database performance, enhance queries, indexes, and storage efficiency.

• Handle backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies.

• Establish database security protocols, access management, auditing, and encryption.

• Assist with schema deployments and database change management processes.

• Diagnose database performance issues, data-loading challenges, and integration problems.

• Provide support for development, testing, and production database environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Azure SQL administration.

• Proficient in managing Oracle databases within enterprise settings.

• Familiarity with database performance tuning and query optimization techniques.

• Knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery methodologies.

• Understanding of database security, access management, and auditing practices.

• Experience with high availability solutions and operational monitoring tools.

• Capability to troubleshoot intricate database and integration challenges.

• Nice to have:

• Experience in supporting PeopleSoft databases.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric Warehouse or SQL Endpoint.

• Administration experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS.

• Automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or database-native scripting.
