This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of data warehouse initiatives, from the planning and design phases through to implementation and ongoing support.
• Oversee a team of Data Warehouse Analysts and Database Administrators, ensuring an equitable distribution of workloads and that project deadlines are consistently met.
• Develop and uphold auditing procedures to guarantee data accuracy and quality across all data warehouses.
• Work closely with business users and stakeholders to collect requirements and convert them into effective technical solutions for data reporting and analytics.
• Create, develop, and modify query-driven dashboards, reports, KPIs, and advanced analytics to facilitate organizational decision-making.
• Keep abreast of the latest developments in data warehousing, business intelligence (BI) technologies, and analytics to introduce innovative solutions to the team.
• Be available for on-call support as designated by management, offering timely assistance to resolve issues related to data reporting and databases.
• Offer technical guidance, support, and training to users, aiding them in effectively understanding and utilizing data reporting tools.
• Maintain documentation of standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and technical resources for the data warehouse team.
• Ensure adherence to best practices for data management, storage, and retrieval throughout all data warehouse projects.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management to further the goals of the department and the organization.
• In-depth knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence (BI) technologies, including Power BI and SQL querying.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining complex dashboards, reports, and alerts, as well as in creating requirement specifications, technical designs, and training documentation for users.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a talent for effective collaboration across departments and providing clear guidance to team members.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, with a track record of managing teams and mentoring team members to reach their full potential.
• Capability to independently manage multiple priorities while adhering to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong time management skills with the capacity to perform well under pressure, resolving issues and meeting service level agreements (SLAs).
• Ability to provide outstanding customer service, promptly responding to requests and delivering support that aligns with user requirements.
• A commitment to remaining informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics and BI.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is required; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Over 7 years of experience in a data-centric technology role, with significant exposure to SQL server databases and Power BI (or similar tools).
• Previous experience in a supervisory or management position is required.
