Data Support Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary contact for support requests and incidents related to the data platform.

• Oversee daily data loads, integrations, and scheduled tasks.

• Examine and address routine data issues, escalating more complex problems when needed.

• Address user inquiries concerning dashboards, reports, datasets, and data accessibility.

• Develop and maintain support documentation and knowledge base articles.

• Manage user access by provisioning, modifying, and removing access across data and reporting platforms.

• Assist in validating data quality and investigate any discrepancies.

• Participate in data cleansing, transformation, and standardization initiatives.

• Engage in testing and deployment activities for new data integrations.

• Help maintain data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and technical specifications.

• Collaborate directly with business users to identify data-related challenges and requirements.

• Educate users on available reporting tools and data resources.

• Contribute to the creation of training materials and user documentation.

• Provide Tier 1 support for the enterprise data platform while enhancing foundational data engineering skills.

• Work alongside Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Data Stewards, and business users throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• 0–3 years of experience in IT support, analytics, data management, or similar technical roles.

• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

• Strong attention to detail and dedication to data accuracy.

• Preferred: Familiarity with reporting and analytics platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.

• Preferred: Basic understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration processes.

• Preferred: Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Databricks.

• Preferred: Basic programming skills in SQL, Python, or similar technologies.
