Data Support Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary contact for support inquiries and incidents related to the data platform.

• Oversee daily data loads, integrations, and scheduled tasks.

• Examine and resolve routine data problems, escalating complex issues when required.

• Address user inquiries concerning dashboards, reports, datasets, and data availability.

• Develop and update support documentation and knowledge base articles.

• Manage user access by provisioning, modifying, and removing permissions across data and reporting platforms.

• Assist with activities related to data quality validation and investigate discrepancies in data.

• Support efforts in data cleansing, transformation, and standardization.

• Engage in testing and deployment for new data integrations.

• Help maintain data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and technical specifications.

• Collaborate directly with business users to comprehend data-related challenges and requirements.

• Educate users on available reporting tools and data resources.

• Contribute to the development of training materials and user documentation.

• Work alongside Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Data Stewards, and business users throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• 0–3 years of experience in IT support, analytics, data management, or similar technical roles.

• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL is essential.

• Strong skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving.

• Excellent communication and customer service capabilities.

• Capacity to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.

• Preferred: Familiarity with reporting and analytics platforms like Power BI or Tableau.

• Preferred: Basic understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration processes.

• Preferred: Knowledge of cloud data platforms like Databricks.

• Preferred: Basic programming skills in SQL, Python, or similar technologies.
