Data Scientist – Production Machine Learning

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and sustain machine learning models within production settings.

• Execute exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, opportunities, and modeling strategies.

• Conduct feature engineering and prepare datasets for machine learning processes.

• Develop and enhance data pipelines that facilitate model development, deployment, and upkeep.

• Oversee production models and assist in resolving performance or operational challenges.

• Partner with engineering and business stakeholders to convert business requirements into scalable machine learning solutions.

• Utilize version control and collaborative development methodologies to manage production code.

• Operate autonomously while effectively communicating progress, risks, and technical insights.

• Contribute to capabilities based on LLM or AI agents where relevant.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing and maintaining production machine learning models.

• Proficient in Python programming.

• Advanced skills in SQL.

• Experience in deploying machine learning models in production environments.

• Familiarity with monitoring or maintaining models post-production deployment.

• Experience with AWS SageMaker or other enterprise machine learning platforms, such as Vertex AI or Azure Machine Learning.

• Background in supporting production machine learning pipelines.

• Knowledge of Git or another version control system.

• Experience in performing exploratory data analysis and feature engineering.

• Proven ability to build or enhance data pipelines that support machine learning workflows.

• Capability to work independently in production settings.

• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
