Data Scientist Mid/Senior – Consulting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Identify business challenges and formulate analytical hypotheses.

• Conduct comprehensive exploratory data analysis (EDA) to extract actionable insights.

• Develop and validate statistical and Machine Learning models.

• Engage in feature engineering, model evaluation, and enhancement.

• Collaborate with data engineering and technology teams to integrate solutions.

• Establish and execute monitoring for models deployed in production.

• Document findings and convey results to both technical and business stakeholders.

• For the senior position: make independent technical choices.

• For the senior position: oversee complex, high-impact end-to-end projects.

• For the senior position: guide and assess the work of mid-level and junior staff.

• For the senior position: engage with and influence senior stakeholders (Management/Directors).

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or Engineering.

• A Master’s or PhD in related fields is preferred.

• Proficient in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).

• Strong grasp of predictive modeling, statistics, and evaluation metrics.

• Advanced SQL skills for data analysis and transformation.

• Experience in deploying and monitoring models in a production environment.

• Excellent skills in code review, coding standards, testing, and best practices.

• Capability to adapt communication style and convey technical results to non-technical audiences.

• Preferred: experience with credit, collections, and fraud models.

• Preferred: background in consulting or exposure to multiple business domains.

• Preferred: familiarity with distributed pipelines (Spark/Databricks).

• Preferred: proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Preferred: experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, etc.).

• Preferred: knowledge in NLP, generative AI, or unstructured data analysis.

• Preferred: experience in mentoring and providing technical leadership, particularly for senior roles.
