Data Scientist – IT Subject Matter Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver subject matter expertise to enhance data science, analytics, and machine learning projects.

• Assist in analyzing intricate datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.

• Offer recommendations on analytical techniques, statistical models, and data-driven solutions.

• Aid in activities related to data preparation, transformation, modeling, and visualization.

• Work collaboratively with stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to establish analytical needs and support program goals.

• Assist in the creation of dashboards, reports, technical documentation, and analytical outputs.

• Provide guidance on data quality, analytical methodologies, and best practices in data science.

• Contribute to modernization and ongoing improvement initiatives related to data, analytics, automation, and emerging technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

• At least 10 years of experience in Information Technology, data analytics, data science, or similar technical fields.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience supporting large-scale enterprise data, analytics, or technology initiatives.

• Proven experience in conducting statistical analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, or other advanced analytical tasks.

• Familiarity with large, complex, and/or disparate datasets.

• Proficiency in data analysis and programming tools such as Python, R, SQL, or equivalent technologies.

• Experience in data visualization and conveying analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to articulate complex analytical concepts clearly.

• Ability to work effectively across technical, business, and program teams within a federal environment.

• Willingness to complete the government-issued background investigation process.
