This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.
• Gather data and utilize data science methodologies, including data wrangling, profiling, visualization, and statistical analysis, to reveal actionable insights and create analytical solutions.
• Design and oversee financial crime risk models.
• Convert business challenges into practical data science strategies.
• Retrieve and prepare data using Python and other programming languages, implement statistical methods and advanced analytics, and extract insights from large datasets.
• Visualize insights and convey findings to decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with data and business analysts, software engineers, data engineers, and application developers to develop scalable data science solutions.
• Enhance business processes through insights derived from data.
• Educate the organization on hypothesis testing and statistical validation techniques.
• Assist in continuous improvement, risk management, governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Engage in cross-functional and enterprise initiatives as a subject matter expert.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders and keep partners updated on project developments.
• Contribute to team growth through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and adherence to best practices.
• Bachelor's degree or advanced technical degree preferred in mathematics, physics, engineering, finance, computer science, or a related discipline.
• Graduate degree preferred, accompanied by progressive project work experience or over 3 years of relevant experience.
• Graduate degree candidates with approximately 1+ years of experience will also be considered.
• Practical modeling experience, particularly with tree-based algorithms and advanced data analytics.
• Proficient coding abilities in Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with the AML domain is advantageous.
• Experience with neural network architecture and transaction monitoring.
• Must be a US Citizen or possess US Resident Green Card authorization.
• Must not require current or future TD work visa support or sponsorship.
• Capability to perform sedentary work continuously and operate standard office equipment.
• Ability to maintain focus for extended periods and read, write, and understand instructions consistently.
