This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Conduct research, design, develop, implement, and test econometric, statistical, optimization, and machine learning models.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the PPM (Portable People Meter) sampling methodology and become a specialist in Audience Measurement, particularly in panel management strategies.
• Extract data from extensive relational databases for various analyses and inquiries.
• Leverage tools such as Python, Tableau, R, etc., to execute complex data analyses and create visualizations.
• Supervise, maintain, and enhance multiple data algorithms for managing the PPM Sample Methodology in a time-sensitive production setting.
• Regularly maintain and update documented departmental procedures, checklists, and metrics thoroughly and promptly.
• Participate in various interdepartmental teams to propose, assess, and implement new initiatives, and engage in other vital projects. This includes assisting with requirement documentation, software development, and testing.
• Address various requests from internal and external clients, delivering data-driven solutions to the challenges presented.
• Implement quality checks to proactively identify and rectify errors throughout production processing and analysis.
• Ensure product quality, stability, and scalability by facilitating code reviews and promoting best practices such as modular coding, unit testing, and incorporating CI/CD workflows.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Statistics, Data Science, and/or related fields, focusing on delivering analytical software solutions in a production environment.
• 3+ years of experience in the following areas:
• Manipulating, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sources to derive insights through analysis.
• Programming in Python, PySpark, and SQL for developing data pipelines that support analytics.
• Data visualization using Tableau and/or similar tools.
• Experience working in cloud-based environments such as AWS.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools, code management, and CI/CD workflows utilizing Gitlab or comparable tools.
• Project management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple assignments effectively.
• Strong organizational skills, clear communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Willingness to embrace innovation, explore new solutions, and commit to rapid iteration based on customer feedback.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, with an understanding of the broader implications of data insights on product and business objectives.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to independently resolve issues as well as collaborate within a cross-functional team to address project challenges.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with statistical tests and procedures such as ANOVA, Chi-squared, Correlation, Regression, and Student t-test.
• Expertise in querying large datasets using SQL and experience with Oracle/Netezza/Data Warehouse and Data Lake data structures.
