This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Conduct research and develop data science methodologies that enhance the predictive capabilities of NEXUS across various enterprise datasets, industries, and types of prediction tasks.

• Create and implement robust, production-ready Python components, emphasizing accuracy, versatility, and reusability.

• Gain an in-depth understanding of the characteristics of real-world enterprise data and devise strategies to ensure NEXUS manages them effectively.

• Execute thorough experiments to assess the impact of new methodologies, establish meaningful benchmarks, and utilize findings to inform prioritization.

• Address a wide range of structured data challenges, including but not limited to classification, regression, ranking, and forecasting.

• Collaborate closely with Engineering and Research teams to gain a profound understanding of NEXUS model behavior, using that insight to guide your efforts.

• Partner with Applied AI Engineers to validate approaches using actual customer datasets and translate insights into product functionalities.

• Contribute to the creation of technical documentation and internal best practices, assisting the broader team in effectively and confidently applying new capabilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in data science or machine learning positions.

• Proficient in Python, including expertise with pandas, numpy, and scikit-learn.

• Extensive hands-on experience with traditional machine learning models such as XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost, and other gradient boosting frameworks.

• Strong understanding of the complexities associated with real-world tabular data, including class imbalance, high cardinality, distribution shifts, missing values, and more.

• An experimental mindset, comfortable with designing benchmarks and deriving rigorous conclusions from uncertain results.

• Capability to work independently and drive projects from conception to completed output.
