This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Utilize machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision methodologies for the analysis, authentication, and fraud detection of identity documents.
• Design and implement algorithms focused on document processing for digital onboarding and identity verification solutions.
• Develop solutions capable of authenticating identity documents, identifying tampered documents, and preventing fraud.
• Create algorithms for processing identity documents using either foundation models or traditional machine learning, as well as image processing and computer vision, based on deployment constraints.
• Prototype initial concepts and subsequently transform them into fully operational production-ready solutions.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, product, and support teams to implement algorithms in production and oversee ongoing enhancements.
• Develop algorithm components suitable for cloud, server, and mobile deployment environments.
• Test, assess, and configure solutions for processing and analyzing identity documents.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, a mathematics-related discipline, or an equivalent field.
• A strong enthusiasm for leveraging machine learning and computer vision to tackle real-world challenges related to documents and identity.
• Proven experience in developing and assessing advanced machine learning and computer vision algorithms.
• A solid foundation in traditional machine learning and computer vision techniques (experience in document processing is a plus).
• High proficiency with contemporary deep learning frameworks and foundation models.
• Experience in low-resource environments, transfer learning, or utilizing unsupervised/lightly supervised learning methods.
• Strong Python programming skills for research and application development; familiarity with C++ is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of image processing libraries and toolkits.
• Commercial experience in document capture and validation is a plus.
• Experience in data curation, annotation, and the generation of synthetic training data.
• A quick learner with a robust mathematical aptitude.
