Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Dominican Republic.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement predictive and prescriptive models and algorithms through advanced data utilization, analytics, and artificial intelligence.

• Generate actionable insights, optimize decision-making processes, and create value for the organization.

• Ensure thorough methodological and technical documentation.

• Guarantee the quality, reliability, and performance of models through continuous monitoring, validation, and calibration.

• Adhere to established standards and guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong foundation in mathematics and statistics.

• Proficient in algorithmic thinking, programming logic, and software engineering principles.

• Experience in exploratory data analysis, variable preparation (feature engineering), descriptive analysis, and development of advanced analytical models.

• Understanding of artificial intelligence fundamentals and methodologies for both supervised and unsupervised machine learning.

• Ability to select algorithms and evaluate model performance.

• Programming skills for analytics using Python.

• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL and NoSQL), particularly Microsoft SQL Server.

• Skills in experimental design, A/B testing, statistical validation, and evaluation of analytical results.

• Development of analytical solutions in the cloud, knowledge of data architecture fundamentals, and MLOps practices.

• Model optimization and deployment expertise.

• Data literacy, data visualization, interpretation of results, and effective communication of findings and recommendations based on data.

• Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields.

• Over 3 years of experience in financial, commercial, and/or service institutions.

• Preferred: knowledge of financial products, financial markets, commercial banking analysis and credit, intelligent financial models, agile project management, project formulation and evaluation, tracking of indicators, and management of Data and AI Products.
