Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Train, test, and implement Machine Learning models: Lead the creation of new Machine Learning capabilities by engaging in every phase of the Machine Learning delivery pipeline, including research, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.

• Investigate the reasoning behind each observation: Employ advanced data analysis techniques to craft compelling narratives and suggest actions and strategies that our Supply Chain team can adopt to enhance operations.

• Collaborate across functions to deliver exceptional data products: Participate in the development process from data ingestion and transformation to analysis and machine learning, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, impactful data products.

• Contribute to the wider Data Science team: Support our Data Science team in its continuous improvement by leading learning sessions and proposing innovative tools or architectures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of experience in a data science role focused on Supply Chain forecasting or logistics optimization challenges.

• Strong proficiency in statistical methods, particularly in time series forecasting methodologies (e.g., SARIMA, Prophet, xGBoost).

• Advanced expertise in Python for data analysis tasks (including data cleaning, manipulation, and analysis).

• Proficient in SQL, especially for data analysis tasks.

• Experience in training and evaluating the performance of machine learning models using industry-standard libraries such as PyTorch, scikit-learn, tidymodels, and xGBoost.

• Experience in deploying machine learning models from research settings into production environments like AWS Sagemaker, Databricks, or Snowpark ML.

• Proven application of software development methodologies and protocols, including the use of Git for version control and testing.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly when engaging with non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in driving self-directed projects and collaborating cross-functionally.
