This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead engagements in Power BI and analytics from the phase of requirements gathering through to delivery and iteration.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding reporting and analytics projects.
• Conduct workshops to establish KPIs, reporting requirements, and business specifications.
• Oversee timelines, deliverables, and expectations across multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
• Create and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Convert business requirements into user-friendly visualizations and experiences.
• Implement best practices in data storytelling, usability, and performance optimization.
• Construct and refine data models employing star schema and industry best practices.
• Develop DAX calculations, measures, and optimizations for performance enhancement.
• Utilize Power Query to extract, transform, and format data from various sources.
• Set up data refresh strategies and performance optimization methods.
• Ensure that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and compliant with enterprise standards.
• Troubleshoot issues related to data, performance, and visualizations.
• Delegate tasks and review the work of junior analysts and developers.
• Offer mentorship and guidance to foster team development.
• Present dashboards, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Provide counsel to clients on data strategy, reporting enhancements, and governance.
• Facilitate adoption through training, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
• 5–8+ years of experience in data analytics, BI development, or similar positions.
• 3–5+ years of practical experience with Power BI.
• Demonstrated experience in leading comprehensive reporting or dashboard initiatives.
• Advanced knowledge in Power BI, data modeling, and visualization best practices.
• Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data transformation methods.
• Experience with various data sources, including SQL, APIs, data warehouses, and Excel.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience in consulting or client-facing roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, or Google BigQuery is desired.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines is a plus.
• Experience with Power Automate and Power Apps is advantageous.
• Familiarity with governance, deployment pipelines, and administration of Power BI Service is preferred.
• Experience in supporting construction, capital projects, or data center environments is a plus.
