Data Quality Analyst – Translational Research

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Review scientific data submissions to ensure they are complete, accurate, and comply with established standards.

• Assess the consistency and scientific relevance of data, identifying potential issues for further examination.

• Evaluate the methodological aspects of pre-clinical and translational research submissions under the supervision of senior staff.

• Assist in transforming data workflows into clear, structured processes that can be adapted for automation and AI-assisted evaluation.

• Work collaboratively with scientific personnel, informatics teams, and data providers to address discrepancies and enhance data quality.

• Aid in monitoring data quality metrics and document patterns or recurring issues.

• Keep abreast of new research methodologies, data standards, and automation tools to support advancements in data quality practices.

• Participate in team documentation and process enhancement initiatives as part of ongoing improvement efforts.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or data-focused field (e.g., biomedical sciences, bioinformatics, epidemiology, virology, immunology, or a related area).

• Knowledge of pre-clinical research methodologies and experimental design.

• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in structured scientific data.

• Capability to adhere to established data quality workflows and assist in the documentation of processes.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear summarization of findings.

• A collaborative approach, willing to seek guidance and work efficiently within a multidisciplinary team.

• A Master’s degree in a relevant scientific or data-related field is preferred.

• Familiarity with controlled vocabularies, ontologies, and biomedical data standards is preferred.

• Experience with database systems, structured data models, or data submission workflows is preferred.

• Exposure to human-in-the-loop AI processes and automation within data review workflows is preferred.

• Background in quality control, process enhancement, or research data management is preferred.
