Data QA Engineer – Enterprise Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Ensure the integrity, precision, and dependability of intricate enterprise data ecosystems.

• Assess ETL processes, referential integrity, constraints, and data normalization.

• Conduct functional testing on stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions.

• Validate data migrations and craft complex SQL queries to confirm data accuracy and system integrity.

• Test data pipelines, transformations, and business logic within Tableau and Power BI.

• Develop and sustain automated test scripts for database regression and integration testing.

• Identify slow-performing queries, monitor execution plans, assess indexing, and collaborate with DBAs on performance optimization.

• Collaborate with developers, data analysts, and product teams to document defects in JIRA or TestRail.

• Promote data quality best practices throughout the engineering organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in writing and executing complex SQL queries.

• Demonstrated experience in validating ETL and ELT data pipelines, transformation logic, and complex data warehousing environments.

• Practical experience in testing database objects and structures.

• Strong understanding of data normalization and schema validation.

• Experience in documenting comprehensive test plans, cases, results, and defects in JIRA or TestRail.

• Hands-on experience with test automation tools and programming languages such as Python, Selenium with SQL assertions, or custom database scripting is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with Apache JMeter for database load, stress, and performance testing is an advantage.

• Experience testing presentation layers, reports, and business logic in Tableau or Power BI is highly desired.

• Knowledge of query execution plans, indexing strategies, and database performance tuning is a plus.

• Applicants must currently reside in Latin America.
