This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Develop and nurture strong collaborative relationships with operational teams.
• Offer reliable technical and subject matter expert advice to operational and change teams.
• Evaluate data protection breaches, assist with corrective measures, and monitor remediation efforts.
• Create and uphold data protection policies and procedures for Atos BTS.
• Foster and advance a culture of data protection governance within BTS.
• Conduct assurance assessments and gap analyses in relation to data protection regulatory requirements.
• Oversee compliance with data protection and privacy laws while managing large volumes of personal data.
• Implement DPA and FOIA regulations, principle-based regulations, and risk-based methods to assess compliance, mitigations, and vulnerabilities.
• Aid first-line operational personnel and management in evaluating data protection regulatory risks and controls, including DSAR and FOIA inquiries.
• Provide education on data protection and regulatory risks through the development and review of stakeholder-specific training.
• Maintain ongoing communication with client data protection representatives and conduct regular joint governance meetings.
• Support Aegon and Royal London account mandates.
• Report directly to the Head of Data Protection at Atos BTS (Conduct and Compliance).
• Advanced knowledge of the Data Protection regulatory risk landscape and the functioning of regulatory bodies.
• At least 3 years of experience interpreting data protection regulatory requirements in the financial services sector.
• Proven experience in establishing key relationships and influencing or challenging stakeholders effectively.
• DP Practitioner Certificate, ISEB, or an equivalent qualification in Data Protection.
• In-depth expertise in national and European data protection laws and practices.
• Comprehensive understanding of GDPR.
• Familiarity with the UK Data Protection and Digital Information Bill.
• Experience in conducting data privacy compliance assurance reviews.
• Background in managing information and data security operations within a business context.
• Proven experience in developing and overseeing information and data security assurance programs, including those involving third parties.
• Capability to serve as a leading authority for all Atos business units.
• Aptitude for providing clear guidance and direction in the face of ambiguity, competing priorities, and tight deadlines.
