This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• This position involves providing guidance to our clients on matters related to data protection.
• You will advise the designated representatives of client organizations, create solutions, and engage actively in their execution.
• Perform inventories and conduct vulnerability assessments of the client's data protection framework.
• Educate and inform clients about their responsibilities under the GDPR, the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), and other relevant data protection laws.
• Establish and maintain data protection-related policies and controls.
• Execute analyses, offer consulting services, and prepare documentation concerning data protection and information security.
• Provide advice on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and oversee their implementation.
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities as necessary.
• Manage and assist with reportable incidents in accordance with Art. 33 GDPR.
• Draft policies, working agreements, procedural guidelines, templates, and similar documents.
• Organize and facilitate training sessions covering data protection law.
• A successfully completed university degree in business law, information law, law, or a related legal field (First State Examination/1. Staatsexamen or Master’s degree).
• Several years of experience in data protection consulting.
• Strong technical and legal knowledge as outlined in Art. 37(5) GDPR in data protection law and information security.
• Proven experience in client interactions.
• A pragmatic and diligent approach to work.
• An understanding of business and economic factors.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution abilities.
• A decisive, responsible, and discreet demeanor.
• An independent, organized, and meticulous work style.
• Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken.
