This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Collaborate with Sedgwick business units to ensure adherence to relevant privacy laws and regulations.
• Evaluate escalated suspected privacy incidents reported to the privacy team to guarantee a timely and suitable response.
• Support escalated breach notification initiatives, including coordination with external resources.
• Oversee privacy incident databases and reporting processes.
• Keep track of emerging privacy and industry laws, regulations, changes, trends, and best practices; evaluate their potential impact on the organization and inform the Privacy team accordingly.
• Manage the complete lifecycle of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs).
• Ensure all DSARs are fulfilled within established timeframes.
• Maintain a DSAR log and generate DSAR reports and information summaries.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on data breaches, focusing on preparedness, prevention, impact mitigation, and breach management.
• Work with internal stakeholders on DSARs, including verifying information and fulfilling requests.
• Perform additional privacy-related tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
• Possession of relevant certifications such as Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), or Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT), or an equivalent qualification is required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in privacy, compliance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Familiarity with the OneTrust platform is preferred.
• Strong understanding of privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other applicable laws and regulations.
• Experience in managing potential security incidents, including conducting investigations and analyses.
• Experience in processing DSAR requests.
• Ability to think strategically, assess risks, and evaluate potential outcomes.
• Commercial acumen to understand, manage, and navigate client expectations.
• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to convey complex privacy concepts effectively to various stakeholders.
• Strong project management and leadership abilities, with the skill to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, online research tools, and databases.
• Experience in implementing privacy policies, procedures, and controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
• PC literacy, encompassing Microsoft Office products.
• Strong analytical and interpretive abilities.
• Well-developed organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
