Data Modeler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• TEHORA is actively looking for a Data Modeler to design, document, and enhance data models within the scope of development, maintenance, and system improvement projects. The ideal candidate will serve as a consultant for business, development, and operations teams.

• The services and deliverables expected from the successful candidate include, but are not limited to:

• Developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models;

• Documenting data models;

• Converting conceptual data models into physical representations;

• Assessing the impact of proposed models on operational data;

• Modifying data models as necessary;

• Offering advisory support on proposed data models;

• Assisting in the optimization of data structures for enhanced performance;

• Creating relevant documentation and ensuring it remains current.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience as a systems development or maintenance analyst working with a relational DBMS;

• At least 3 years of experience as a data modeling specialist;

• Experience with database administration in a cloud environment;

• Strong expertise in conceptual data modeling utilizing the entity–relationship formalism;

• Strong expertise in star schema modeling for optimizing queries in a data warehouse or BI environment;

• Familiarity with PowerDesigner, ERwin, Visio, or similar tools is a plus;

• Excellent command of French, both written and spoken.
