This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Analyze, debug, and resolve tickets along with data discrepancies, serving as the escalation point for the team and identifying root causes for systemic issues.
• Draft, review, and implement comprehensive action plans for significant data operations.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and provide guidance on coding best practices to ensure the reliability and performance of systems.
• Cultivate and maintain extensive knowledge of the technical specifications of SISes and third-party systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot intricate Single Sign-on (SSO) integrations.
• Spearhead the development of complex internal applications utilizing Retool to optimize team workflows.
• Offer expert advice to team members on application development and best practices.
• Assist in prioritizing the team's backlog of ad hoc tasks and bugs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritize incoming tickets and feature requests.
• Lead and take ownership of large-scale data integration projects using tools like Retool from inception to completion.
• Provide technical oversight, decompose complex tasks, and navigate project uncertainties.
• Offer technical leadership, instigate process enhancements, and assume responsibility for highly intricate issues and projects.
• Influence the event lifecycle from research through to ROI analysis.
• 2-3+ years of professional experience in roles such as Data Engineer, Software Engineer, or a comparable position.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex querying, stored procedures, performance optimization, and in-depth data analysis.
• Significant hands-on experience with Ruby and Ruby-on-Rails is strongly preferred for development and system analysis.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Familiarity with version control systems using Git.
• Experience with commonly utilized AWS services, such as S3 and RDS.
• Background in the K12 Education sector and practical experience with Student Information Systems (SISes) is highly sought after.
