📋 Description

• Establish and uphold frameworks for metadata governance.

• Ensure adherence to DoD data management policies and facilitate interoperability with the Data Catalog.

• Create automated processes for metadata tagging to enhance data discoverability, classification, and lineage tracking within the Common Intelligence Picture (CIP) platform.

• Implement and oversee workflows for data governance.

• Integrate OpenLineage, Unity Catalog, and GIS metadata standards.

• Prepare and submit the Metadata & Data Governance Compliance Report, which details lineage tracking, classification policies, and enhancements to security.

• Support a scalable, federated data ecosystem for a DoD customer.

• Enable interoperability, real-time information sharing, dynamic data integration, and analytical capabilities tailored to missions.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, GIS, or a related field, or five (5) years of relevant experience in data governance, metadata management, or geospatial data integration.

• Knowledge and skills required to develop, implement, and sustain data governance frameworks.

• Proficiency in metadata management, data lineage tracking with Unity Catalog/OpenLineage, schema alignment, and governance best practices.

• Expertise in geospatial data standards, data cataloging, and compliance with DoD metadata policies.

• Experience in implementing metadata governance frameworks for both structured and unstructured data in cloud-based environments.

• Experience in tracking data lineage and ensuring synchronization of metadata across a Data Catalog, ESRI Kubernetes, and enterprise metadata repositories.

• Experience with tools such as OpenLineage, Apache Atlas, or similar technologies.

• Experience in enforcing compliance with DoD metadata policies and NSG tradecraft standards for geospatial datasets.

• Preferred certifications include Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), DAMA Certified Data Governance Professional (DGSP), or ESRI Geospatial Data Management Certification; these are desirable but not mandatory.

• Ability to support a DoD customer; this position is contingent upon the award of a contract.
