Data Engineer – People Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +43 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and oversee data pipelines and ETL processes that integrate HR data from Workday, talent management, payroll, and various other systems.

• Develop and enhance data workflows to ensure the accuracy, quality, and availability of data.

• Supervise a team of data engineers while providing mentorship, support, and guidance.

• Organize data for People Analytics analysis and create data models.

• Generate reproducible workflows that support reporting in R, Python, and other analytical tools.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding data governance and security protocols.

• Collaborate with HR leaders, IT, and People Analytics teams to grasp requirements and streamline data requests.

• Deliver insights that facilitate strategic decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Engineering.

• At least 3 years of experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools.

• Over 3 years of experience with SQL and relational databases.

• A minimum of 2 years of programming experience in Python for data manipulation, automation, and analysis.

• More than 3 years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP; Azure or AWS may also be considered.

• At least 2 years of experience with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with scheduling tools such as Airflow or Composer.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field is required.

• Experience with Workday or similar HRIS platforms and HR data flows is preferred.

• Familiarity or working knowledge of PowerBI, Tableau, Oracle BI, Visier, or similar tools is preferred.

• Technical experience in people or talent analytics, data engineering, visualization, business intelligence, or analytical consulting is preferred.
