Data Engineer I – Data Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions.

• Execute data warehouse implementations, dimensional data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes for reporting, analytics, and business intelligence.

• Enforce data quality validations, create test cases, and establish controls.

• Create and sustain data testing frameworks, including dbt tests.

• Assist with workflow orchestration, monitoring, troubleshooting, log analysis, and production operations utilizing Airflow and cloud-native technologies.

• Collaborate with business users, product partners, analysts, and technology teams.

• Adhere to engineering standards, development methodologies, documentation criteria, and testing protocols.

• Engage in pipeline deployments, environment promotions, operational support, and performance enhancement through CI/CD processes.

• Utilize AI-driven development and productivity tools to enhance engineering efficiency, code quality, and delivery results.

• Contribute to the modernization of enterprise data platforms and deliver cloud-based data solutions that support business initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year of experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent with 5 years of experience.

• Preferred fields of study include Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related disciplines.

• Desired experience in data engineering, database management, or a similar field.

• Proficient in cloud-based data platforms and big data technologies.

• Familiarity with enterprise ETL/ELT tools such as DataStage, SAP BODS, SSIS, Informatica, or similar technologies.

• Experience with Operational Data Stores (ODS), analytics platforms, and data products.

• Background in working with both cloud-based and on-premises data environments.

• Exposure to Data Vault modeling and contemporary data warehousing methodologies.

• Knowledge of data governance, security, compliance, and data quality management practices.

• Experience in Financial Services, Banking, or other highly regulated sectors.

• Familiar with Tableau, Power BI, or other analytics and visualization platforms.

• Proven experience using AI-powered development and productivity tools.

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate, SnowPro Core Certification, or equivalent cloud and data platform certifications.

• Proficient in AWS Services, Snowflake, dbt, Python, SQL, Airflow, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, dimensional data modeling, CI/CD, and cloud-native technologies.
