Data Engineer, French Speaker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovenia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and implement data integration solutions utilizing PowerCenter or comparable ETL tools.

• Create and enhance PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, and queries.

• Engage in data warehouse modeling and its ongoing evolution.

• Work alongside business and technical teams to convert data requirements into technical solutions.

• Maintain, support, and optimize current data pipelines.

• Identify and resolve data-related issues as well as ETL pipeline challenges.

• Apply and adhere to best practices regarding data quality, governance, and security.

• Contribute to the design and development of Power BI dashboards and reports.

• Share technical knowledge and potentially mentor junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• A higher education degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, ETL Developer, or in a comparable position.

• Comprehensive expertise in a major ETL tool; proficiency in PowerCenter is highly advantageous.

• Familiarity with other ETL tools is beneficial.

• Exceptional command of PL/SQL.

• Strong knowledge of Oracle is highly recommended.

• Robust understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling and data warehouse design principles.

• Familiar with database management systems, particularly Oracle.

• Experience with Power BI is a plus.

• Fluency in both written and spoken French.

• B2 level proficiency in English.

• Demonstrated autonomy, attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and communicate clearly.
