Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain robust data pipelines sourced from various TMS and other data inputs.

• Design and implement new data structures or enhance existing ones to accommodate changing business needs.

• Develop and maintain the Data Vault, Data Warehouse, and Data Marts.

• Provide essential metrics to operational and business stakeholders.

• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, executives, clients, engineers, and external vendors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Bachelor’s Degree required, or equivalent professional experience.

• Preference for degrees in Business Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• A creative thinker who is intellectually curious, passionate about solving problems, and dedicated to continuous learning.

• Over 5 years of technology experience with Amazon Relational Database Service (Aurora, MySQL), Microsoft SQL Server, or Snowflake.

• Outstanding SQL development and performance tuning capabilities.

• Familiarity with TMS, WMS, or other enterprise logistics platforms is a significant advantage.

• Experience with Data Vault 2.0 is an added benefit.

• Knowledge of Fivetran is a considerable plus.

• Experience with Azure Data Factory is advantageous.

• Understanding of REST API is beneficial.

• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, highly adaptable, and capable of taking initiative in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Availability Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a one-hour break, with flexibility depending on coverage needs.
