Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines utilizing Databricks and Spark.

• Create and manage processes for integrating and transforming source data into curated, analytics-ready data layers.

• Collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering teams to convert business requirements into effective data solutions.

• Maintain comprehensive data documentation, including data dictionaries and lineage.

• Query and oversee data using SQL Server.

• Utilize AI-enabled tools and analytics to improve decision-making, enhance efficiency, and achieve measurable business results when applicable.

• Exercise sound judgment and uphold ethical standards when applying AI, ensuring accuracy, data privacy, and responsible human oversight.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong programming and scripting skills in Python and SQL.

• Expertise in cloud data platforms, preferably Azure.

• Experience in constructing data pipelines that ingest, transform, and load source data into curated data models.

• Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration and workflow tools.

• Solid understanding of Git-based version control workflows.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL Server, including query optimization and performance tuning.

• Proven ability to scope and complete projects within set timelines.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions.

• Strong problem-solving abilities coupled with high autonomy and ownership.

• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
