Data Collection Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough assessments with precision based on field conditions.

• Accurately document data following established standards to ensure clarity for office-based project teams.

• Collaborate with the team to maintain consistency and precision in data collection methods.

• Utilize smartphones and/or tablets for gathering and recording pertinent data.

• Employ GPS software and/or geospatial coordinates for navigating designated territories and client locations.

• Recognize items for documentation in the field with minimal oversight.

• Achieve production goals while comprehending project deliverables and timelines.

• Adhere to safety protocols and engage in safety initiatives.

• Support power restoration efforts during natural disasters.

• Travel overnight as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is advantageous.

• Exceptional attention to detail and capability to conduct visual assessments proficiently.

• Skilled in using smartphones and tablets for data entry and communication purposes.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.

• Readiness to travel extensively to various work sites within the client's service area, often on short notice.

• Openness to adapting to new site inspections and outdoor environments, including diverse weather conditions and terrains.

• Willingness to travel overnight as required.

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

• Strong navigational abilities and proficiency in map reading.

• Competence in basic computer software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.

• Professional demeanor during client interactions.

• Effective time management skills.

• Capability to meet company requirements for pre-employment background checks and drug screenings.

• Uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity.

• Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrains for extended durations.

• Frequent travel, up to 100%, to utility sites, customer locations, and project areas is required.

• Ability to walk long distances, climb stairs, navigate uneven terrain, and access active construction or utility work sites.

• Capacity to lift and carry equipment, tools, and materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds.

• Ability to safely perform tasks while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
