• In the role of Data Center Solutions Architect, this individual will collaborate with our expanding team, cultivating and sustaining relationships across diverse domains, practices, and clients.
• The ideal candidate will blend sales and technical expertise to meet client needs, drive business results, and work alongside internal teams to nurture customer relationships.
• They will possess a robust background in various storage platforms, demonstrating exceptional customer consulting skills to provide guidance, implementation, and management of solutions.
• Accountable for driving pre-sales initiatives and the capability to generate business opportunities from identification through scoping and booking.
• Collaborate closely with clients to thoroughly understand their internal needs and concerns, proposing solutions and options to enhance their environments.
• Establish and nurture relationships with clients and prospects while designing, communicating, and advising on company solutions.
• Clearly and concisely articulate the capabilities of data center offerings, advisory services, and delivery capabilities.
• Assist the sales team with design, sales engineering, and proposal development.
• Capable of presenting in front of large groups and delivering relevant information effectively to clientele and technical teams.
• Responsible for crafting presentations, appropriate documentation, and whiteboarding capabilities.
• Experience in disseminating information to customers and internally (e.g., training, cross-training, customer education).
• Confidence and ability to lead project launches and design needs effectively and independently.
• Accountable for designing lifecycle creation and management of standard to complex Data Center solutions.
• Ability to lead complex projects to completion, on time and within budget.
• Actively engage and support technical teams throughout all phases of a project, including launch workshops, kickoff calls, and lessons learned sessions.
• Previous experience working with clients in a pre-sale capacity, providing guidance on data center solutions.
• Prior experience managing proposal processes, including SOW creation.
• Ability to clearly articulate a company’s value and solutions to client stakeholders.
• Ability to research and provide updates on current technology solutions.
• Familiarity with NetApp, Cohesity, Nutanix, Pure, and similar platforms.
• Familiarity with Dell, HPE, Intel, SuperMicro, and other technologies.
• Understanding of Intel/AMD processor generations and the competitive landscape.
• Knowledge of compute storage platforms, including but not limited to: HDD, SSD, NVME, and Optane.
• Proof of Concept capabilities and a broader skill set in the Data Center space.
• Ability to gather input, results, and present findings to customers and internal teams.
• Understanding of backup and virtualization technologies, as well as SAN/NAS.
• Ideally, this individual has prior experience in developing a program, whether compute-focused or otherwise.
• A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is preferred.
• Certifications from NetApp, Dell, HPE, or similar organizations are preferred but not mandatory.
• Salary commensurate with years of experience, technical expertise, and geographic location.
• Salary range: $170,000 to $215,000.
