Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Comprehend all data assets and services, including their interconnections and data flows across systems.

• Offer architectural insights and solutions for new business ventures and modifications to current data models.

• Create, deliver, and sustain a data architecture that emphasizes standards, growth, performance, flexibility, reliability, and scalability.

• Develop, maintain, and design data models.

• Create and implement complex ETL jobs and data flows.

• Provide direction to the development team and assist in the creation of new application features.

• Enhance performance and refine data pipelines, ETL processes, queries, analytics tools, and other data operations.

• Oversee data migration projects.

• Spearhead archiving and warehousing initiatives.

• Collaborate on projects aimed at improving data quality.

• Work together with the security team to protect and secure data.

• Engage in quality assurance activities.

• Produce technical documentation.

• Collaborate with engineering to install, configure, and deploy SQL Server instances and database environments.

• Support and manage multiple SQL Server environments.

• Diagnose issues and resolve incidents.

• Supervisory or mentoring responsibilities may be included.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (such as data science, mathematics, or statistics).

• Over 10 years of experience in Information Technology.

• More than 7 years of experience with SQL Server.

• At least 5 years of experience in database design, data modeling, and ETL development.

• Proficiency in designing SQL Server environments.

• Proven ability to manage and execute long-term projects successfully.

• Competence in multitasking and effectively prioritizing workload.

• A proactive approach to work with the capacity to adapt to changes.

• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

• Ability to work independently without supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
