This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Assist agile development teams in producing data products that generate business value
• Collaborate with solution managers and product managers to convert business needs into data solutions
• Aid business leaders in spotting opportunities for data-driven solutions
• Contribute to the development of the product roadmap for data and analytics projects
• Transform business objectives into product requirements, features, and user stories
• Prioritize backlog items with the guidance of a solution manager
• Act as Product Owner for agile development teams or specific product features
• Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, and story elaboration sessions
• Engage in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
• Provide insights on scope and priorities to enhance team velocity and value delivery
• Collaborate with the Scrum Master and RTEs to meet team needs
• Foster communication between business stakeholders and development teams
• Participate in stakeholder meetings to collect requirements and provide updates
• Assist in aligning technical capabilities with business needs
• Help establish acceptance criteria for deliverables
• Lead the development of analytics solutions, including BI products, data science, and AI-integrated data solutions
• Evaluate data products against quality standards and business requirements
• Work alongside data engineers and architects on data modeling and technical design
• Implement best practices in data visualization, user experience, and analytics
• Aid in defining acceptance criteria, including data quality guidelines
• Review completed work to ensure alignment with requirements
• Monitor product performance metrics and user adoption
• Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives in product features and team processes
• 2–4 years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or a related role in data/analytics fields
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and delivery practices
• Basic knowledge of data engineering principles, data warehousing, or ETL processes
• Knowledge of BI and analytics platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar
• Understanding of data modeling or database design concepts
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Capacity to learn technical concepts and convey them to various audiences
• Experience or eagerness to learn user story writing, acceptance criteria, and backlog management
• Preferred: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), CSM, or similar agile certification
• Preferred: Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Preferred: Interest in data visualization design principles
