Senior Fraud Data Analyst, P2P & Cash Advance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform daily evaluations of high-risk P2P transfers and cash advance requests to detect fraudulent activities.

• Investigate suspicious accounts and take necessary actions, such as freezing accounts or rejecting transactions.

• Examine fraud patterns and emerging trends to identify weaknesses in existing defenses.

• Collaborate with the Risk Strategy team to propose and test new fraud rules and enhancements to machine learning model features.

• Investigate intricate fraud cases involving social engineering scams, unauthorized access/Account Takeover, and first-party/friendly fraud.

• Develop and maintain dashboards that track false positive rates, fraud loss rates, and operational SLAs.

• Present fraud findings to leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in fraud investigations, risk management, or trust & safety, particularly within the fintech, banking, or payments sectors.

• Strong knowledge of P2P payment networks, including Zelle, Venmo, CashApp, and ACH.

• Understanding of short-term credit and cash advance products.

• Proficient in data analysis using SQL and Python.

• Ability to integrate multiple data sources to uncover concealed fraud networks.

• Capacity to make high-quality, rapid decisions under pressure.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to articulate complex fraud patterns to non-technical stakeholders.

• Familiarity with contemporary fraud prevention tools and identity verification vendors (preferred).
