This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, enhance, and sustain dashboards and reports using BI tools like PowerBI, Tableau, and Databricks AI/BI.
• Convert business requests submitted via a ticketing system into precise and actionable data visualizations.
• Maintain consistency in definitions, metrics, and data logic across various reports.
• Optimize queries and dashboards for improved performance and clarity.
• Document the logic and assumptions behind essential metrics and dashboards.
• Create and manage database views, derived tables, and other analytical objects.
• Conduct data modeling and transformation to ensure reliable downstream reporting.
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies while verifying data accuracy across systems.
• Collaborate on enhancements to data structure and warehouse organization.
• Provide accurate, well-documented dashboards within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
• Develop clean, reusable SQL objects for long-term reporting requirements.
• Enhance clarity and consistency in defining metrics.
• Minimize back-and-forth on reporting requests through strategic implementation.
• Lead business interactions, establish standards, document KPIs and reports, optimize large data models, and mentor junior team members.
• Engage with clients to tackle challenging data engineering issues.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, encompassing querying, joins, CTEs, aggregations, and window functions.
• Practical experience with cloud-based data warehouses.
• Familiarity with creating dashboards and reports in Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to data validation practices.
• Experience in dashboard engineering, storytelling, and enhancing usability.
• Expertise in data modeling and transformation utilizing large datasets.
• Capability to lead business interactions, set standards, document KPIs and reports, optimize extensive data models, and mentor junior team members.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering discipline.
