This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to convert domain knowledge into organized analytical and semantic frameworks.
• Design, create, and sustain enterprise semantic models.
• Work alongside data engineers to develop silver and gold datasets.
• Create AI-ready data products by enhancing datasets with business definitions and hierarchies.
• Develop and refine Power BI semantic models.
• Establish and oversee standardized KPIs and calculations utilizing DAX.
• Document business logic, data definitions, and the context of metrics.
• Enforce data governance measures.
• Publish reliable semantic models and datasets.
• Track and enhance model performance.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Capable of obtaining (in a timely manner) and maintaining Government of Canada Secret (Level II) security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with semantic modeling concepts, including metrics, hierarchies, and dimensional modeling.
• Knowledge of data governance principles and secure data access methodologies.
• Over 8 years of relevant professional experience.
• More than 3 years of professional experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data modeling positions.
• At least 3 years of practical experience with Power BI semantic modeling, DAX, and dataset design.
• Over 3 years of experience handling SQL-based analytical datasets.
• Ability to interpret business concepts into organized analytical and semantic frameworks.
