Data Analyst – Network Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Analyze results utilizing a range of techniques from basic data aggregation to advanced statistical analysis.

• Collect and sanitize data from diverse sources while ensuring its integrity and quality.

• Employ statistical methods to detect patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies, deriving significant insights.

• Create and sustain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to convey data discoveries effectively.

• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and formulate metrics to evaluate and monitor business performance.

• Collaborate with data engineers and IT specialists to enhance data collection, storage, and retrieval processes.

• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics, business intelligence, visualization, and reporting.

• Collect, cleanse, transform, and merge data from various internal and external sources while upholding data integrity and governance standards.

• Convert complex analytical results into clear, concise, actionable business recommendations for both technical and business stakeholders.

• Design scalable Tableau reports utilizing parameters, actions, filters, LODs, drilldowns, and interactive visualizations.

• Create and manage Tableau Prep workflows to automate the processes of data cleansing, transformation, integration, and preparation.

• Effectively communicate intricate data findings to both technical and business leaders.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, information science, or a related field, along with three (3) years of experience in roles such as data analyst, data scientist, BI analyst, or a similar profession, OR a combination of education and experience equivalent to seven (7) years.

• Preferred: Proficiency in SQL, Python scripting, and Power Query for data manipulation and analysis.

• Preferred: Experience with REST API integrations and automation of data extraction and transformation workflows.

• Preferred: Understanding of descriptive and inferential statistical analysis techniques.

• Preferred: Experience in developing and maintaining dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, or similar business intelligence platforms.

• Preferred: Proven experience with ServiceNow and Snowflake or Data Lake for data retrieval and extraction.

• Preferred: Familiarity with ServiceNow Incident and Operational analytics, including performance metrics.
