Data & AI Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement secure, scalable, and resilient AWS cloud architectures utilizing Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.

• Apply modern microservices and serverless designs using Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.

• Act as the primary technical authority on strategic enterprise client projects.

• Collaborate with CIOs, CTOs, VPs of Infrastructure/Engineering, and client development teams to convert business objectives into AWS solutions.

• Direct large-scale migrations from on-premises data centers or outdated platforms to AWS.

• Transform legacy monolithic applications into contemporary serverless or containerized architectures.

• Design and deploy enterprise-level Generative AI and machine learning workloads using Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, vector databases, and custom RAG implementations.

• Discover new high-value cloud workloads and promote AWS consumption growth and client ROI.

• Mentor and coach Cloud Engineers and Solutions Architects.

• Create internal RevStar accelerators, reusable Terraform modules, AWS Well-Architected Review frameworks, and best practices for cloud delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of hands-on experience in Cloud Architecture, DevOps/SRE, or Software Engineering with a focus on AWS.

• More than 3 years in a client-facing consulting, Solutions Architecture, or Forward Deployed Engineering role.

• Mastery of core AWS services: IAM, VPC, EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFront, Route 53.

• Advanced proficiency in Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.

• Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.

• Practical experience with Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Glue, Redshift, or OpenSearch for constructing data platforms and AI solutions.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional is required.

• Specialty AWS certifications in Security, Machine Learning, or Data Analytics are advantageous.

• Proven experience in leading technical delivery for Fortune 500 or mid-market enterprise clients in Healthcare, Financial Services, Retail, or SaaS.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to illustrate complex architectures, develop functional POCs/demos, and present to C-level executives.

• Capacity to identify technical expansion opportunities, perform AWS Well-Architected Reviews, and advocate for cloud modernization.
