Data & AI Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and implement secure, scalable, and resilient architectures on the AWS cloud platform.

• Utilize Infrastructure as Code along with contemporary microservices or serverless methodologies.

• Act as the primary technical authority on key enterprise client projects.

• Collaborate with CIOs, CTOs, infrastructure leaders, engineering executives, and client development teams.

• Convert intricate business objectives into efficient AWS solutions.

• Oversee extensive migrations from on-premises data centers or outdated platforms to AWS.

• Transform traditional monolithic applications into serverless or containerized frameworks.

• Architect and implement enterprise-level Generative AI and machine learning workloads.

• Develop data platforms, tailored RAG implementations, and vector database solutions.

• Identify high-impact cloud workloads and promote AWS usage growth.

• Showcase return on investment to client executive stakeholders.

• Guide and mentor Cloud Engineers and Solutions Architects.

• Create internal RevStar accelerators, reusable Terraform modules, AWS Well-Architected Review frameworks, and best practices for cloud delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of practical experience in Cloud Architecture, DevOps/SRE, or Software Engineering with a focus on AWS.

• More than 3 years in a consulting role, Solutions Architecture, or Forward Deployed Engineering position that involves client interaction.

• Mastery of essential AWS services including IAM, VPC, EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFront, and Route 53.

• Advanced skills in Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.

• Familiarity with automated CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.

• Hands-on experience with Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Glue, Redshift, or OpenSearch.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional is mandatory.

• Demonstrated experience in leading technical delivery for Fortune 500 or mid-market enterprise clients.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Capability to whiteboard complex architectures, create working prototypes/demonstrations, and present to C-level executives.

• Ability to spot technical growth opportunities, carry out AWS Well-Architected Reviews, and advocate for cloud modernization.

• Additional AWS certifications in Security, Machine Learning, or Data Analytics are advantageous.
