Data & AI Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead Data & AI initiatives from the qualification stage to the signing of the Statement of Work (SOW), encompassing solution design, cost modeling, estimation, scope definition, and facilitating presentations.

• Make informed go/no-go decisions on pursuits based on their value, associated risks, and delivery capabilities.

• Transform broad client aspirations into phased programs that demonstrate early value and establish a foundation for scalability.

• Enhance pursuit quality through thorough solution reviews and direct coaching efforts.

• Act as the technical lead for two client engagements concurrently, overseeing architecture, technical risks, and overall quality.

• Ensure that AI solutions are built on strong foundations of data, platforms, evaluation, observability, and support for production environments.

• Serve as the senior technical advocate for clients during complex trade-off discussions.

• Take ownership of solution sign-offs and assist in shaping staffing across data science, AI, data engineering, and platform projects.

• Collaborate with leaders in analytics, measurement, and optimization to align solutions with business outcomes.

• Exercise influence within the practice without having direct reports initially.

• Conduct interviews for candidates applying for roles in data science, AI, data engineering, and platform domains.

• Develop reusable reference architectures, estimation models, and solution frameworks.

• Support the practice's perspectives and pursuits within industrial, manufacturing, agriculture, and distribution sectors.

• Utilize AI tools and promote their responsible adoption within the practice.

• Report directly to the VP and Head of Data & AI for the Americas.

⛳️ Requirements

• Typically, 12 or more years of experience in data, analytics, and AI, including a minimum of 5 years in consulting, professional services, or client-facing roles where you have managed multiple engagements simultaneously.

• Proven hands-on expertise in both AI and solution design, as well as modern data platform architecture.

• Ability to design solutions related to either AI or data platforms, lead technical teams on both fronts, and engage effectively with client architects.

• Significant recent experience with at least one of the following platforms: Databricks, Google Cloud, or Microsoft data and AI platforms, along with working fluency in the other two.

• A track record of shaping and winning enterprise pursuits through solution design, estimation, scoping, and presentations to executive stakeholders.

• Executive presence with the capability to articulate and defend a clear point of view.

• Comfort in adapting to shifting priorities while managing support for multiple clients simultaneously.

• Experience in delivering data or AI projects for industrial, manufacturing, agriculture, or distribution sectors.

• Proficiency in French language skills (preferred).

• Current certifications from Databricks, Google Cloud, or Microsoft (preferred).

• A public stance on enterprise AI, such as published articles or conference presentations (preferred).
