Dairy Focus Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Offer nutrition guidance and assistance to customers during and following product sales

• Engage directly with dairy farmers and their personnel

• Collaborate on farms with dairy farm staff, ownership, and associated dairy representatives

• Establish performance objectives that align with territory goals and dairy leadership team targets

• Educate customers about new products, services, and pricing through a consultative methodology in dairy nutrition and management

• Assist Cargill team members by working together to serve dairy clients

• Create and present proposals and presentations, and aid in conducting product demonstrations

• Develop, track, and adjust monthly performance targets against the budget and implement strategies to achieve them

• Evaluate customer requirements and recommend suitable products, services, and solutions

• Build, nurture, and sustain relationships with internal and external customers

• Address basic issues and challenges under direct supervision while escalating more complex problems to the appropriate personnel

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience

• Willingness to travel up to 75% for daily visits to dairy farms

• At least four years of pertinent work experience in sales, business development, or a related area

• Valid driver's license in good standing

• Experience in dairy and animal nutrition

• Sales experience is preferred

• Consulting experience is preferred
