Dairy Automation, Applications Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Provide technical training to distributors and partners to enhance product knowledge and service expertise.

• Design and implement training programs and materials customized to meet partner requirements.

• Assist distributors with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting best practices.

• Recognize opportunities for upselling and cross-selling during technical engagements.

• Support, configure, and troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems.

• Aid in the commissioning, startup, and optimization of capital equipment.

• Evaluate system performance and pinpoint areas for enhancement.

• Identify and resolve issues related to automation systems, controls, sensors, electronic devices, and communications networks.

• Provide assistance to customers and distributors with technical troubleshooting and performance enhancement.

• Offer recommendations concerning system settings, programming, and operational improvements.

• Facilitate equipment upgrades, enhancements, and the adoption of new technologies.

• Deliver on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and system optimization at customer sites.

• Collaborate with Sales on customer visits to aid in new business development.

• Address technical inquiries and ensure prompt resolution of issues.

• Foster strong relationships with distributors, partners, and dairy producers.

• Serve as the primary technical liaison among customers, partners, and internal teams.

• Collect and disseminate field feedback to inform product and service enhancements.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and product performance.

• Provide insights and recommendations derived from field data and analysis.

• Contribute to continuous improvements in technical support and training processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred: Associate degree in Engineering (Electronic, Mechatronic) or a related field.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in automation and control systems engineering.

• In-depth knowledge of electronics, PLC-controlled systems, and troubleshooting methodologies.

• Experience in training or supporting distributors or partners.

• Exceptional communication and training abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Customer-oriented mindset coupled with strong problem-solving skills.

• Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout America.

• Proficient in verbal and written English communication.
