Cyber Security Engineer – C-UAS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Engineer, implement, and assess security measures to safeguard M-LIDS and FS-LIDS systems.

• Develop and evaluate encryption, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and access control within tactical software.

• Perform vulnerability assessments, security regression testing, and provide support for penetration testing.

• Contribute to security requirements, conduct reviews, and create documentation for NCS upgrades.

• Validate secure cloud data pipelines and remote access utilizing zero-trust principles, VPNs, and gateways.

• Assist with RMF/ATO activities, including patch assessments, compliance evaluations, and government security testing.

• Monitor and address findings within Agile sprint cycles.

• Present findings during Technical Integration Meetings (TIMs) and reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Engineering.

• 4–7 years of experience in cybersecurity.

• Active DoD Secret clearance with the capability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

• Proficient in coding and testing security measures using C, C++, Python, or Java.

• Possession of DoD 8570/8140 certification, such as Security+, CySA+, CASP+, or CISSP.

• Practical experience with encryption, MFA, access control, vulnerability assessment, and Agile development methodologies.

• Knowledge of RMF/ATO processes, secure cloud integration, DIL operations, and secure remote access.
