Cyber Security Analyst I – Sunday to Thursday, 9:30pm to 7:30am shift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Oversee and prioritize cybersecurity alerts across client systems

• Analyze suspicious activities and escalate potential threats as necessary

• Assist in incident response efforts and conduct security investigations

• Evaluate phishing, spam, and other email security issues

• Help with endpoint security, validate patching, and track remediation efforts

• Record findings and ensure accurate maintenance of security tickets

• Adhere to established security protocols, playbooks, and escalation procedures

• Collaborate with colleagues during shift transitions and ongoing investigations

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience

• 0–2 years of experience in IT or cybersecurity

• Fundamental understanding of Windows, networking, and prevalent cyber threats

• Familiarity with Active Directory and user account management is an advantage

• CompTIA Security+ certification or the ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe

• Keen attention to detail, curiosity, and a strong willingness to learn

• Experience in IT Help Desk or Technical Support is preferred

• Experience working in Security Operations Centers (SOC) is preferred

• Familiarity with endpoint protection or monitoring tools is preferred

• Experience in vulnerability management or patching is preferred

• Background in basic networking and system administration is preferred
