Cyber Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and sustain the complete Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Authorization to Operate (ATO) lifecycle.

• Administer security authorization packages while updating System Security Plans (SSPs), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), risk assessments, and continuous monitoring documentation.

• Maintain system confidentiality, integrity, and availability by adhering to NIST 800-53, DoDI 8500.01, DoDI 8510.01, and other relevant Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity policies.

• Facilitate Agile/DevSecOps implementations by embedding cybersecurity requirements into sprints, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, release timelines, and system design evaluations.

• Conduct vulnerability scanning, assessment, and remediation utilizing tools such as Nessus, eMASS, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Trivy, and Dependency Track.

• Ensure alignment with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and cloud security standards.

• Offer security engineering assistance, including secure architecture contributions, SSO/SSL integration support, secure configuration advice, and reinforcement of API/cloud security.

• Collaborate effectively with technical teams, Information System Security Managers (ISSMs), and Authorizing Official (AO) representatives during audits, inspections, security evaluations, and risk management initiatives.

• Monitor, report, and respond to cybersecurity incidents while coordinating recovery efforts.

• Create and sustain Interconnection Security Agreements (ISAs), Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs), Segregation of Duties (SoD) matrices, architecture diagrams, and application/database security documentation.

• Oversee project advancements and deliver cybersecurity reports along with risk insights to leadership and government stakeholders.

• Engage with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance or the capability to obtain one.

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to Information Technology.

• Have over 8 years of experience as a Cyber Analyst.

• Possess at least 5 years of experience with ATO procurement in a Cloud Environment.

• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a DoD setting.

• Accumulate over 5 years of experience with the Risk Management Framework Process.

• Have more than 5 years of experience operating the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service Application (eMASS).

• Preferably possess DOD/Government contracting experience.

• Preferably have experience with Government IT systems.

• Ability to work autonomously while reporting to a blended Cyber Team ISSM.

• Strong documentation skills are essential.
