This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• Assist with mandated and risk-based audit activities by conducting research, providing planning support, documenting processes, analyzing data, and undertaking various assigned project tasks.
• Manage inventories and tracking tools for vendors and SOC reports.
• Investigate vendors, regulatory obligations, industry norms, and emerging trends to facilitate audit preparation and vendor management.
• Develop training manuals, reference materials, process documentation, and other knowledge management assets.
• Contribute to metrics, dashboards, and reporting projects.
• Aid in the creation and improvement of resources related to Vendor Oversight and the SOC program.
• Must be a junior or senior undergraduate student, a graduate student at the master’s level, or a recent graduate in Business, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Management, Risk Management, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related area.
• A specialization in Internal Audit is preferred.
• A strong interest in audit, compliance, risk management, healthcare operations, or governance is desirable.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5; a GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
• Strong research, analytical, organizational, and communication skills are desired.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint is advantageous.
• Capable of gathering and organizing information, documenting processes, developing reports, and acquiring knowledge about healthcare and risk management concepts.
• Ability to think critically and present ideas in a professional manner.
• Self-motivated, eager to learn, adaptable to a dynamic work environment, and team-oriented.
• Comfortable handling data, researching topics from various sources, and conveying findings through reports, documentation, and presentations.
• Undergraduates must be able to work 20 hours per week during the spring and fall semesters and 30–35 hours per week in the summer.
• Preference for candidates residing in or willing to relocate to Louisiana for all positions.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening is required.
