Customs Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• The Customs Specialist will be deeply engaged with Mazda's import and export operations across North America.

• Conduct in-house Customs Brokerage in the U.S. for vehicles, parts, and manage FTZ admissions and withdrawals.

• Manage audits and provide appropriate guidance and support to various departments within the Mazda organization in North America.

• Oversee export documentation, which includes submitting export declarations and ensuring adherence to export regulations.

• Participate in special projects as directed by the Customs Manager.

• Major Responsibilities (60%) include Customs Clearance & Export Operations.

• Manage the import and export processes of vehicles and parts into and out of the country.

• This encompasses filing ISF and ensuring customs clearance for parts shipments.

• Oversee export documentation and compliance for the export of Mazda vehicles and parts as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in an import and export environment, specifically in filing Customs entries and Export Declarations with a Customs Broker or Importer/Exporter.

• At least 3 years of knowledge in ACE, ABI, AES, and proficient use of general business software is required.

• Over 3 years of experience in international transportation, customs, and export procedures is preferred.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in International Business is preferred.

• An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
