📋 Description

• Oversee comprehensive Marketplace Management: Track, benchmark, and enhance daily operations between Google Nest’s energy partnerships, internal sales functions, and strategic marketplace collaborators. Serve as a dedicated advocate for Customer Success to guarantee seamless program execution while minimizing shipping, inventory, and delivery challenges.

• Implement Marketplace Upsell Strategies: Work collaboratively with account sales leaders to proactively discover and finalize upsell opportunities with utility customers. Utilize our marketplace partners to drive revenue growth while promptly addressing operational issues as they occur.

• Facilitate Partner Success: Assist SPMs by equipping DERMS and marketplace partners with the necessary tools, training, and resources to effectively implement, manage, and expand our energy services (e.g., Rush Hour Rewards and Nest Renew).

• Oversee Promotional Campaigns: Manage customized marketplace and energy partner promotional initiatives. Foster customer adoption and ensure that shared engagement and revenue objectives are consistently achieved across partner platforms.

• Direct Account Planning & QBRs: Develop detailed account plans and regularly update the sales team on significant account progress. Ensure tracking towards (and surpassing) our Customer Success and marketplace upsell goals, which includes creating and leading partner and internal QBRs for the largest direct and marketplace accounts.

• Collaborate closely with marketplace partners and designated utility accounts to uncover new business opportunities and drive upsell initiatives that directly support their comprehensive demand-side management (DSM) and broader energy service requirements.

• Assess channel and marketplace performance weekly to proactively identify and capitalize on new opportunities to boost sales and optimize conversion rates.

• Oversee complete program launches and daily logistics by closely aligning internal technical and business resources with external marketplace partners.

• Champion Customer Success to ensure partnerships consistently align with shared objectives, proactively resolving program delivery and operational challenges promptly.

• Coordinate internal cross-functional teams and external partners to accurately project sales, ensure sufficient supply chain inventory for client requirements, and develop unified marketing strategies.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a fast-paced setting (technology, consulting, or start-up), with a strong preference for backgrounds in clean energy technology, demand-side management (DSM), or Demand Response (DR).

• Profound understanding of utility marketplaces, e-commerce platforms (e.g., AMC, Uplight), and two-step distribution models.

• Demonstrated capability to lead intricate projects and align operations across cross-functional teams (sales, operations, finance) without direct supervisory authority.

• Combined expertise in both Customer Success and Account Management, with a successful history of driving revenue growth and upselling within established partner ecosystems.

• Strong consultative and/or "Challenger" selling experience, displaying the ability to independently navigate and resolve complex commercial challenges.

• Exceptional executive presence; highly skilled in presenting, collaborating, and articulating strategic ideas to diverse clients at all levels, including C-suite stakeholders.

• Driven, proactive team player with creative ideas to foster customer loyalty and build strong internal and external relationships.

• Solid project management experience, including the ability to manage OpEx/T&E budgets, monitor pipeline ROI, and coordinate high-impact industry events and sponsorships.

• Highly analytical with a strong proficiency in data analysis, problem-solving, and using metrics to inform commercial strategy.

• Technical proficiency across key platforms: Salesforce, Tableau, Excel, and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).

• Experience in seamless collaboration with technical, sales, and cross-functional operations teams.

• Excellent follow-up and follow-through skills, characterized by strong organizational abilities and extreme attention to detail.

• Adaptable and resilient; thrives in a dynamic team environment, willing to wear multiple hats, and eager to do what it takes to accomplish tasks.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
