This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Respond to incoming customer service calls regarding inquiries related to patient accounting.
β’ Conduct outbound follow-up calls on pending accounts when call volumes are low.
β’ Ensure calls are answered promptly without any drops or abandoned calls.
β’ Determine the reasons for callers' inquiries and provide assistance with their questions, concerns, or issues.
β’ Aim for resolution during the first call.
β’ Assist in resolving issues by referring callers to subject matter experts.
β’ Elevate concerns to supervisors, gather necessary information, or take suitable actions.
β’ Operate in a call center setting, utilizing a headset and working near multiple stations.
β’ May engage directly with patients in a hospital setting.
β’ Perform additional duties as assigned.
β’ Completion of high school or equivalent education.
β’ 1 to 2 years of previous experience in an inbound call center or customer service role.
β’ Experience with hospital patient account billing or knowledge of third-party reimbursements from insurance and government payers is advantageous.
β’ Outstanding customer service, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
β’ Professional demeanor with a calm tone of voice, strong command of the English language, and proper grammar.
β’ Capability to facilitate discussions and comprehend the customer's issues or reasons for contact.
β’ Ability to work independently, adapt flexibly, and employ creative problem-solving methods.
β’ Proficient in de-escalating conflicts and building customer trust.
β’ Effectiveness in high-pressure situations and dealing with challenging personalities.
β’ Skill in interpreting and applying reimbursement provisions of managed healthcare agreements.
β’ Excellent listening abilities.
β’ Capacity to communicate responses clearly with appropriate voice modulation.
β’ Ability to remain seated at a computer terminal for prolonged periods.
β’ Required vaccinations and screenings before employment, as applicable and permitted by law.
β’ The position may qualify for a signing bonus for eligible new hires, depending on employment status.
