This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.
• Take ownership of the daily customer relationship and growth strategy for designated customer(s) and/or category, achieving Net Sales, profit, and market share objectives through strategic planning, negotiation, and collaboration across functions.
• Design and implement the annual customer strategy, encompassing the promotional calendar and the introduction of innovations.
• Negotiate terms, promotions, and merchandising commitments tailored to each customer.
• Oversee daily customer interactions, line reviews, and business evaluations.
• Collaborate across various functions to establish a cohesive customer strategy.
• Ensure precise forecasting and management of trade spending for the assigned desk.
• Key Deliverables include: Annual Net Sales, Gross Profit, and trade spend performance on the designated desk; an on-strategy, on-budget annual customer strategy and promotional calendar; successful execution of innovation launches meeting distribution and velocity goals; accurate monthly forecasts aligned with S&OP standards; timely delivery of customer scorecard and plan commitments.
• (Must have) Bachelor’s Degree
• 6 years of experience in CPG sales or roles involving direct customer engagement
• Demonstrated ability to achieve Net Sales and profit objectives on a customer desk
• Familiarity with trade management, promotional planning, and Revenue Growth Management
• Strong analytical skills with experience in syndicated data (Circana / NielsenIQ) and retailer POS systems
• Proficient negotiation, presentation, and storytelling abilities for engaging retail buyers
• (Nice to have) Capability to function effectively within a matrixed, cross-functional setting
• Willingness to travel approximately 20–30% of the time
